Well Dr, I lived in Gettysburg for years, I played on the Battlefield Lands as a child, my parents both worked for various the company that established bus tours of the entire National Grounds. I've never seen any ghosts anywhere. I have hiked in some pretty isolated areas, in Devils Den (where remains are still occasionally recovered) and Big Round Top and in the Seminary where many soldiers died during treatment (my dad went to school for his M.Div). If there are spirits that are restless, it wouldn't surprise me given the type of conflict it was, but I've never met them.

A number of respected authors have published books about substantiated sightings--that is, sightings that were seen by more than one person, or multiple times. One such author is David Pitkin (yes, I know guys--I mention him a lot--he's just really cool ) with the following titles: Haunted Saratoga County (includes sightings at the Saratoga Battlefield--Revolutionary War) Ghosts of the NorthEast (I'm in this one Twice.) This should help you get a start on some "real" ghost stories!
