Hello, a few years ago my son and i were watching tv and he saw something that caughthis eye, it was so prominant that it took him off the couch and he followed it. he turned around and told me there is a little boy over there and he is sticking out his tongue and making faces at him. i then told my son to tell him that it wasn't nice to do that, so my son did and the boy left. Now up to recently ( the last couple of months) i and my husband have experienced some odd happenings in our house. the first thing that happend was a at my sons birthday we had taken pictures with a digital camera, and when i went to review them it was very noticable that there were orbs floating around my son, daughter and mom. at halloween i took pics of my husband and daughter and some appeared on my husband (the pics were taken in diffent rooms), then one night my husband and i were watching tv and a light appeared near where i took the halloween pics it took me by surprise and i just stared at it, my husband didn't see it that night, but the following night it appeared in front of him, on xmas eve i was cleaning the house before wrapping presents and placed a ball on a piano in between to objects so it wouldn't roll or fall off and sure enough, it went into the air and landed on the floor, and this past sunday i was walking out of the laundry room and i felt a gust of air hit me in the face. it felt as if a fan was on (the laundry room is near the piano). i retraced my steps to see if it would happen again and it didn't. i was wondering if anyone knows of a way for me to not be so stunned when things like this happen. i am a strong believer in the after life and whomever is trying to contact me is not angry, they seem very calm so i don't want to do anything to upset them but i want them to know i welcome them. Can anyone give me some insight? Please??? ************************************************** 01-10-06, 06:48 PM Vanguard1 Hello nove9903,
I will certainly not discount anything supernatural, or unexplained, but after reading your post, I recognized something about your "orbs" that may help. I am guessing each of those digital images were taken with flash, correct? I am a digital imaging engineer here in the states, and may be able to offer an explanation. What happens sometimes, and this has been reported in my line of work numerous times, is that airborn particles are highlighted by camera flashes, and reflect a shadow back to the camera ccd sensor, where it is of course not focused, and poorly resolved, so it appears circular, and glowing. I see these all the time, and they happen mostly in a somewhat dusty environment. They do appear like orbs, glowing circles of light, inexplicably strewn around the room. Sometimes colored, othertimes just white, depending on the distance back and forth to the camera, and reflective objects in the room. They certainly do tend to play on our imagination, especially when other unexplained phenomena touch our lives. Send your images to your camera company's technical support team, I think they may agree with my assessment. I have seen these on television shows of the unexplained mysteries, and ghost stories, and I'm surprised noone has explained this effect. They want you to see what they are showing you, and play on your fears and curiosity. The only image sample I could find online was a poor, not so spooky example, but an example just the same. It was taken in a UK Aikido class:
This may explain your orbs captured by a digital camera, but certainly wouldn't explain them without the camera! In any event,I do hope they are friendly orbs!

01-11-06, 10:15 AM nove9903 Thank you for your info. the objects that appear in the pics are a bit different. which could be specs of dust i don't doubt that either. the way they are located in the pics are just odd. in the link you sent me the specs are all over just floating. in the one pic of my son he is sitting in a chair and they are around him like an ora. just the way they are placed i just find odd. also the way they look aren't really like the ones on the link. they are 2 seperate circles in eachother. but if they were specs of dust, why wouldn't they be in every pic i took?
01-11-06, 05:46 PM Vanguard1 Hi,
The picture I sent was a bad example. I have seen some that are easily mistaken for strange ghostlike thingamajigs. Placement is totally random of course if they are airborn particles, but when they come close to your subject, it may appear they are trying to interact, if you know what I mean. Here's a site with a whole bunch of orbs:
These orbs are all examples of what I was talking about. This person has dozens and dozens of samples, and she puts them together to show them as spooky things. Shake out a dust rag, turn out the lights, and take a flash picture. I can almost guarantee you will see an example of what I am talking about. This may not be what you are seeing, I don't know, but it may make you feel a little better. Your message sounds like you are a little scared.
The second picture on that womans' site is the result of what is called slow-sync flash. In another post, I explained more fully, and recommended people try it, because anyone can do it with a digital camera and a slow sync flash option. When the flash fires at the end of the exposure, you get light trails if light is being reflected in a room, and if the camera moves slightly. Notice the subject is blurry. Her hand was shaking a bit when she took the picture, and the shutter speed was slow, probably around 1/30th of a second. The time the shutter is open, allows the film to capture light reflections. Add movement, and you get light trails. This is part of what I do, examine people's pictures to help them learn to be better photographers. It's easily reproduceable, and it's also fun to do.
Still, this is just an option, doesn't mean that's what they are. Like I said, I don't immediately dismiss anything supernatural, because there are many unexplained things out there, and I would be a fool to think I knew all the answers. Although, some things that were once thought to be ghosts, have turned out to be things like swamp gas, weather balloons, etc. The Northern Lights for instance were once thought to be gods or ghosts, I'm sure. Now we know it's solar wind hitting the electomagnetic field surrounding our planet.
There have also been many reports of glowing orbs, and strange superfast flying objects, that nobody has fully explained in my opinion. Nobody has all the answers, and some things may always remain a mystery. Maybe someday we will know for sure.
Take care,
~V

Rule #1: Respect the entity, but try to do so as though the entity were a known relative or friend. The entity may want to establish a relationship.
Rule #2: Don't start shouting that some devil should get lost, because you will be succeeding only in making a fool of yourself.
Rule #3: Give the entity a name, and use it. The entity may relate its reason for contact without being badgered with the usual "What do you want?" If the entity takes offense to the name, change the name.

That's hysterical! rofl 01-13-06, 02:43 PM Elexina Tsaeb usually has some excellent posts.

02-28-06, 07:33 AM Elexina Sorry I missed this earlier. What are you talking about? Do we need an old priest and a young priest?
03-01-06, 03:34 AM tsaeb Elexina: I was blessing myself, one touch in the forehead for the Father, and then one touch in the chest for the Son and two touches in the chest for the Holy Spirit. I thought that you knew this. (Although you are not an evil spirit, I can be mischievously suspicious of your compliment.)

I know what "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" means, I have been to church on occasion and have seen the blessing performed. Thank you for the description. I knew what your words meant, but I was uncertain of your intent. Now that you have explained, I believe I have a better understanding. Thank you. And you have as much right to be suspicious of me as I have to be suspicious of you.
