What's the only animal living in the tropics which is known to hibernate ? (Even stranger, it is also the only primate that hibernates)

That would be the fat-tailed dwarf lemur of Madagascar.

Cheirogaleus medius it is.It uses a tree-hole as a home for hibernation even when the temperature is 30C outside. Researchers think that it hibernates to avoid the violent swings in temperature that bedevil the tropics during winter days.
