Tonight on Nightline, a scientist from Missouri estimated how much the water in a hurricane weighs. She based it on a hurricane about the size of Ivan. So...how much did she say? (You can phrase your answer in pounds, tons, or, as she did, elephants.)

No takers on this one? The closest I can come is not Nightline, but ABC News.

While she references hurricanes and elephants, she does not talk about Ivan, and her comparison is 200,000 elephants; Perhaps there was a subsequent episode of Nightline, (and she is not from Missouri), but I guess I am, and doubt it, unless all scientists are now using the "Elephant Scale"!

Sure, I heard of elephants. Dennis was obviously up to the tusk, er, task of searching for this answer. Nice job, SR !
