The word hurricane is believed to have been derived from the Spanish word "huracan" of the West Indies Arawak-speaking Indians. Other possible derivatives are: Aracan, Hurranvucan, Urican and Furacan.

Yep, Sam, that's it. Only other thing that I found was that "huracan" was the Taino god of The indigenous Taíno people of the West Indies named their god of violent storms Hurakán. Spanish explorers in the Americas eventually borrowed the name of the Taíno god to form huracán, which they used to describe the storm itself. This then became the basis for the English hurricane.
