Illinois Highway 3 is known as the Lewis and Clark Highway, as well as the Great River Road. It parallels the Mississippi, and is about a 3 minute walk from my house. Lewis and Clark started their journey about 10 miles from my house, in Wood River, Illinois. This was their last camp before crossing the Mississippi. There are many US highways known as Lewis & Clark, but this is the only state highway that I know about that fits your conditions.
