What would you say could be a record for a chicken to be able to live after it was beheaded? Not a Myth.

Probably 18 months as was the recorded case that occurred in Colorado in 1945. The chicken was known as "Miracle Mike" and toured the West Coast and was even featured in Life magazine.

You see, Mike was suppose to be dinner...but with one misguided stroke of the axe the frontal lobe of his brain was sheared off, leaving the bird with enough brain stem to take care of breathing, circulation, and other organ functions. He had to be fed by an eye-dropper which dropped nutrients straight into his throat. Here is a picture of his feeding.

Mike eventually died...choking to death on his own mucus.
