it's the male bee hummingbird. They weighs about .056 oz. Life expectency is in the 3 - 5 year range - - and, hummingbirds are the only bird that is capable of flying backwards...

oh - and in terms of how "tall" - it's hard to say as their size varies by the weather and whether or not they flightbound.....average though is just a couple of inches long.
