Previously, the oldest known species of these were dated 1 million to 2 million years ago, based on remains found in the new world.

The fossil of which (the same) animal has been found in Europe,lately, that is much, much older?

No, sorry Jenny.Interesting story.What I am looking for was discovered in Germany,and experts thought this animal's origins were related to the Americas only.
