It ranges from 98-101 degrees.

Close enough to what I found. Most of my sources gave a range of 98-101.5. Anyone wanting to make sure is free to find the nearest horse, and...
Normal temperature for a horse is between 99 and 101.5 degrees F. - Texas A & M

You must have really moved quickly, SR, to run out and check your horse in that short time. Nice job!
