This morning on the news they were discussing the contoversy over a nudist camp for teens. What is your opinion?
I think it is wrong, if the parents are nudists then let them take the kids with them to the nudist camp where there are entire families and not just kids. I think the way kids tease each other that it could be very damaging to the self esteem. That sounds completely unreasonable.
A great percentage of teens are still quite uncomforatable and shy about such things. A nudist camp for kids is almost laughable!! It makes NO sense!
AND, I agree, it could be quite damaging.

I don't think that parents should push too hard when it comes to their views like this. Teens (especially teens) are very aware of their bodies and hormones. They should never be forced to be nude, not ever. In fact, I think you should have to be 18 to even be in there. (that way I know I'll never get arrested Cool) Big Grin

Seriously though, I agree with everything everyone said about forcing kids to go. And if they actually did want to go themselvs, I don't think the teens would be attending for the same reason that nudist aduts do (liberation or whatever) if you know what I mean...I think it would turn into a giant orgy. Seriously, I'm not tring to be funny. Eek

gatman Nudist camps are not about orgies but from 3 to 18 or even 21 it is very inappropiate. Yeah I know the kids might grow up thiking of the body in a less lustful manner but the chances are more likely otherwise.
06-21-03, 10:43 PM honilov I think this is totally crazy for anyone under 18. It's crazy for anyone above 18 as well, but it's fine if that's what they want to do. I think it's much better to leave something to the imagination. I think teenagers would see this in a different aspect than adults would. You know, like R. Kelly's bump'n'grind.

It's when people take it out of context and start to prowl around and be disgusting with it is what makes me concerned. I personally am proud of my body. I just accept people's arguments against public nudity. PLus I kinda like clothes, they feel all comfortable. but i am not embarassed of my body at all.
