When me and my girl friend go off to collage, I was thinking of getting her 1 of 2 giftd as a I'll miss you present. 1. A talking photo frame from Sharper Image or 2. A locket with out photos in it? How do you go about buying a locket? Is it hard to do? Whcih would would you pick if you had to choose from only those? Thx.

The locket is more personal. The frame is less likely to be lost. A factor is her jewelry preferences; it is easy to make a well-meaning mistake with jewelry.

Hey, Ron, I know that you're well meaning that in this article, it appears that if you do "buy" a star for someone, you likely to get nothing for something.

Doug, I love the locket idea complete with pictures inside --- very personal. And also something less personal but practical would be some phone cards so that she can call you but not have another added expense. Good luck!
