The remains of the six-month-old female mammoth were discovered in a remarkable state of preservation on the Yamal peninsula of Russia in May, a Reuters report said. All I remember is that they named it Toby, and it died in transport. ---- Another report discussed tho possibility of cloning. While cloning extinct animals certainly has its downside, I think I'd like to see to see a live mammoth. Now a saber-tooth tiger may be another matter.
