Hi! I had some photos that I had developed sitting in a plastic bag on my floor (they were still in the envelopes they come in also). My floor has carpet. When I was going through the photos, there were little black or gray bugs...they seem to like the paper/photos. Any idea what they are and how to get rid of them? (other than squashing them one by one, of course ) They don't seem to be hurting the photos...not yet, anyway. I have seen them before, but not so many in one place. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Silverfish eat paper. The only way I know to kill them is by freezing them or by using chemicals. Silverfish like dark areas and moisture. Even if this isn't the type of bug you have, I would try vacuuming the photos with a crevice extension or blowing canned air to remove them.

I wonder if they could also be fleas? They're pretty small, and when not on the animals, they are often on the carpeting. If you have pets that have fleas, this could be the case.
