Hi,
I have been diagnosed with dissociative identiy disorder for three years. The more common (and improper) name for this is multiple personality disorder. I have two other personalities besides myself; a fifteen year old boy and an eight year old girl (I'm a sixteen year old girl). I know there is no cure, but I am in therepy for it, and was wondering if anyone here might also have this disorder. This is a very scary disorder, the fifteen year old boy cuts wrists and I often come back finding blood all over and open wounds on my body. Once when applying jesses to a zone-tailed hawk, the eight year old girl came and apparently didn't know the hawk was there, and just left it with one jess on it's leg. One more incident like that and I could have my permit taken away.

I am so sorry to hear about your disorder. It`s really difficult to handle and it`s rare. I have been working as a psychologyst and never had a case. I do know that therapy can be of great benefit to you since what causes it is a deeply traumatic experience. Have you ever gone to therapy?

What you just posted is a very serious psychotic disorder.

Check yourself into a hopital. It doesn't sound like you are doing so well on your own. You need observation, unless you want to cut your wrist and kill youself, saying another personality did it, not you.

Get help and more help that we can offer!!!

I also have Dissociative Identity Disorder, and it is scary. You need to keep in close contact with your therapist and make sure they know everything that is happening. Don't give up. It does get easier in time. And it does get better, believe someone who knows.
