I don't know quite where to put this, but thought I might get a good answer here.

I had a bunch of photos put on a CD but when I try to upload them to villagephotos I get a message that they must be gif or jpg files. The CD is apparently "read only." Is there any way to get these to a website?

View the files on the disc and right click them and copy. Then paste them into your favorite image editor, MS Paint will work. Save them to the appropriate format, jpg for photo's and gif for clip art is my preference.

Thank you, KK, I was able to save them to my pictures through PictureIt Express.

Now the question is: PictureIt Express would not save as jpg or gif. The extension is "mix". And VillagePhotos, where I want to keep them, won't accept "mix." What now?

Catty, you can use that same photo editor and under file you go to "save as", from there you can select the type of file extension you want to save it as. MS "paint" will let you do this too.

Sorry, Kwll, I already tried that. No good. Talked to the pharmacy yesterday and they said I must have gotten a bad CD. So I'm taking it back.

Thanks for trying to help.
