There was apparently an upgrade on Yahoo available yesterday which Gizzy downloaded.

Unfortunately, once it was installed the web-cam wouldn't work.

We have a dial-up modem, and apparently the upgrade requires a broadband connection.

I can't see broadband coming into our area anytime in the future - is there a way to get around this?

confused confused

Are you talking about IM or email?

I went to Yahoo's site, clicked on Help, Communicating With Others, Yahoo! Messenger. The More Info about Super WebCam requires everyone have broadband. I'd send them an email to ask how to get your previous version back. It'll take them awhile to respond to you (personal experience).

I've got Yahoo IM 5.0 and I noticed 5.5 is available, but I haven't downloaded it yet. Good Luck

I told Gizzy I felt there must be SOME WAY to get the old version back and she was just so frustrated by the whole thing she gave up.

I will go into Yahoo's main page and request this.

I knew I'd get help here! cool wink

It took some doing, but I found where to go to send Yahoo a request for info.

Click on Privacy Policy and go all the way to the bottom where it says Questions and Suggestions. Click on the feedback form link, fill out the form, send it and hope for the best.

Here's the link directly to the page (if it works):

http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/privacy/cgi_feedback?radio30=radio305

Good Luck and send 'em my worst...I mean my best wink
