Matt:

I don't have one either, but I've seen some reasonably priced ones at Best Buy. I've also found their Tech Desk personnel really helpful if the department people can't answer your questions.

HEY! Anyone else in here bought a WebCam recently? Got better answers for Matt? LOL

Everything I buy from BestBuy Major electronics wise always breaks! But not from elsewhere! Go figure!

Anyway, I got one but too fuzzy so don't know!

Matt,
I got my IBM PC Camera from Walmart, for about $25, and its worked fine ever since. Of course, I dont use it alot, maybe a few times a month. There are a few decent brands at Walmart to consider, if you are near one. Good luck!

I use a combined webcam /digital camera From Logitech I'd recommend it for a beginner.
As a digital camera It takes about 6o images (albeit a bit fuzzy) but you can make out the details. As a webcam it is quite good I have seen other peoples webcams but they have paid a lot more than me for the same effects Red Face
So what did I pay? in US money $79-00 a bit more than your budget Matt, there is a cheaper model listed @ $59 but is not portable
BTW my model is a Logitech ClickSmart 310
you can order off the site:logitech.com (Here are reviews I found on Google on this Webcam)
