I have a Kodak Easyshare CX4230 digital camera, which comes with EasyShare software, version 2.0. It had been working fine, but all of a sudden, it won't work. The camera will only load three pictures onto the computer ( I have a Compaq5000, with Windows ME), and no more. The computer will freeze. And when I try to retrieve the pictures I have for viewing, only a few will show up, and again the computer will freeze. I've tried booting and rebooting, installing and re-installing, and nothing works. Help!!!

Jelp, Sagus and I have had the exact same trouble with our Kodak DX3900 zoom Digital Camera. We have not yet managed to get it fized, and we suspect that it is camera error and needs to be:
repaired
returned
ditched

Kodak is obviously a good brand name. I would guess, that if the "self help" troubleshooting procedures don't solve the problem that you could contact their technical support people for one-on-one assistance.
Update: I haven't gotten the software to work yet, though the last time I downloaded it and tried it, at least it gave me error messages before it shut down (I can't remember the messages right off).
But with the help of fellow Answerpuddlians and my computer whiz uncle, I can now do anything with my pictures that the EasyShare software can do. But I still would like to get to the bottom of it. I think contacting Kodak directly is the best solution.
Thanks again, Dwight!
