Potatoes Wrapped In Bacon is a great appetizer. Easy to make. My husband loves them.
Potatoes wrapped in bacon: 1 pkg of bacon 6 small cans of whole potatoes Toothpicks
Remove bacon from package, lie flat and cut in half. Wrap 1 slice of uncooked bacon around 1 whole potatoe( you can even cut larger potatoes in half and wrap), insert toothpick through bacon & potatoe. Place directly on outdoor Grill low to med heat, turning to prevent burning. Bake 350 for 1 hour or until bacon is done. I prefer to grill as the bacon will become crispier that way. I have cooked them in a pan also but its too greasy for my taste that way.
These are also great to take on camping trips. When taking food camping i highly recommend buying a coleman xtreme cooler as it keeps meats cold for up to 5 days, even in extreme heat. I have found that it even freezes the foods also. Its about 50 or 60$ but its well worth the money if you camp alot. I also put all meats in freezer bags before placing them in my cooler. ___________________
