Last week Zildjian and I went to see this band at the RNCM in Manchester. I have never heard kit-drumming this good from anyone, particularly live. Here
is the programme. Also playing were Bassist Tom Kennedy, keyboard player Steve Weingart and saxophonist Gary Meek, and the whole programme was absolutely stunning. For anyone at all interested in seeing a group of the best jazz musicians around you must go at the first opportunity. Hippolips, do you know these guys?...

Kit drumming? I guess that'd be when they drum on their instrument box? How much of that have you heard, Ritz?

Kit drumming = using a kit of drums, as opposed to orchestral tympani, side drums, bell chimes and general tuned percussion.

I have seen and worked alongside literally hundreds of drummers, but never experienced anything like the performance which I was fortunate enough to witness last week.
