I don't think that was a cameo; it was more like a job. Vision Quest was filmed in 1984, and Madonna may have been signed in 1983. I don't think Madonna had a Top 10 record yet.

dg, that is possible however by the time the film was releassed she already had "borderline" and "lucky star" out so would have been a cameo at that point.
