U2's fourth album, The Unforgettable Fire, was released in 1984. It's second single was The Unforgettable Fire and the tour, The Unforgettable Fire tour, followed, continuing until the next year.

Mmm. The problem is though that U2 aren't a British Group - they're Irish. I would guess that there are several right answers to this question: one that springs to mind is Roxy Music's Avalon tour.
