So, I am in a crowd watching a bunch of guys whose refrain is "ain't that too damn bad"... what show am I watching ?

Quite right ! One of the theater companies here in Phoenix is currently putting on South Pacific and this morning that number was one of two that a portion of the cast sang on a local news show.
