What was the first number one song that Elvis had in the United States and when was it Number 1?

Bonus: What were the other 2 #1 songs he followed with that same year?

"Heartbreak Hotel" March 1956 followed in July by "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You" and then in August "Don't Be Cruel / Hound Dog"

The first one was right. In April of 1956 Heartbreak Hotel went #1.

His 2 follow up #1's were 2 different ones though. Aug. 1956 & Nov. 1956.

oh... Well she had the Heartbreak Hotel & the Don't be Cruel right.
but I thought the other was Love Me Tender in Nov. of 56.

But if the billboard said "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You" and then in August "Don't Be Cruel / Hound Dog" then that is probably right.
