Okay, what are the three primary woods used in the construction of a Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar?

I believe that the standard Les Paul uses mahogany from Central America (probably Honduras) for the body, over which is laid AA maple. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. I am a pianist, not a guitarist; so I may be a little out of kilter here; But I believe that that is correct.
Cheers! wink

You are correct, The body and neck are Mahogany, the "top" is carved Maple and the Fretboard is rosewood. On the Les Paul Custom, the bodies may also be solid Mahogany whilst the fretboard wood is Ebony.
