While the Jackson 5's first single with Motown, "I Want You Back", was their first number one hit song, it was not their first recording. The first J5 recording was a sweet bubble gum love song titled "Big Boy", on the Steeltown label, recorded in 1967. It was a regional hit in the midwest (Chicago/Indiana) area.
