What future Saturday Night Live cast member was a part of the Hear N' Aid "Stars" charity single?

Future member? I don't understand.
Michael McKean was a part of that "charity" as a member of Spinal Tap. The album came out in 1985 but he appeard on SNL back in 1975.

Umm...oops. It's Mike. I thought he first became a regular cast member in the late '90's. (And, fyi, "Hear N' Aid" raised over $1 Million for famine relief.)

McKean was not a cast member of SNL until the 1994-95 season. As David St. Hubbins, he was a Musical Guest on May 5,1984, and he was the Guest Host on November 3,1984. When he was a part of the Hear N' Aid "Stars" charity single, he was a future cast member, as Curtis said.

My mistake. I also verifed with IMDB but saw the year 1975 and thought that was the year he was on instead of realizing that it was the year the show started. Oops. Least I got the right person

I've done a few double-takes becasue of the same reason, Georgia. In fact, when checking this question, I did it. Then I remembered. For some reason, I just can't always remember to look for the second mention of the year om imdb.com.

Well at least I am in good company then, eh DG?
