In December 1961 in Aldershot Berkshire UK there was a "Battle of the Bands " Concert
It said "London" on the poster (!) But that's 25 miles away!
Name the Top billed Band who had just returned from abroad,and the Audience Number.
It was that Bad. the band ended up dancing with the audience A real collectors Item for all concerned
PS Did the other group hit the Big time?

The group was The Beatles and the audience numbered 18.

I think the other band was Ivor Jay and the Jaywalkers (any relation to Peter Jay & the Jaywalkers?) I never heard that Ivor and his band hit the big time. (Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers did have some success, but then Peter Jay became a business man and promoted animal circuses )
