Yes. I will keep trying. My husband had tingling in his fingers and his doctor told him to take vitamin B6 and it went away. Sometimes something very simple can work. After having MS since 1990, I have tried most everything. Bee sting therapy, acupuncture, chiropractor, massage, a variety of vitamins, xango juice are a few that I can think of off the bat. I feel like i have "sucker written on my forehead because nothing has worked and I've spent lots of money.

No one dare call you that. You are not at all gullible; you're just making the most of a very difficult situation, and trying self-help.

I was just wondering, when you embark upon a new course of 9non-prescribed) treatment, do you have a method? I mean, do you decide to try it for a certain period of time, say three months, and then if there is no noticeable improvement, give it up? And do you keep a diary so that you will notice even slight improvement (which if consistent could make a big difference in quality of life in the long run)? Or how do you manage it?

Ever hear of stem cell treatment for MS? I don't know much about it but I ran into a young lady at the hospital once and she told me that it had done wonders for her MS. Obviously it was only a passing conversation to me, but perhaps it's something to look into if you are seeking possible treatment options.

She told me it had "cured" her and I said "MS isn't curable yet." She said "I have no signs of the disease now for the past year." She said she was part of a study at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago.

Oh and it was a treatment using her own stem cells.

I am always waiting for some treatment with stem cells. Any stem cells from anywhere. I have not heard of this one in Chicago. I will try to find out more. Thank you for telling me about this in Chicago. It is exciting because it is so close to Michigan. I always thought I would have to go out of the country,. They seem further ahead then the U.S. is in approving these types of treatments.

When I try a non prescribed treatments I usually make a commitment to it for 3-6 months depending on how safe I think it is. When I started bee sting therapy I kept a diary because I thought it would cure me and I wanted a record of this to share with others. Usually I do not keep a log. Unfortunately nothing but the bee stings has shown any improvement whatsoever. Not even a baby step in the right direction. I mention most everything to my doctor, just to hear his opinion and to see if I need blood tests or anything to watch for side effects. When you have an incurable degenerative disease doctors are pretty open minded as to what you try. I always keep hope that something will work eventually. I am also an incurable regenerative optimist. What has been best is swimming, yoga, massage, eating healthy, and staying active mentally and physically. I appreciate your question. You sound like and empathetic caring person.

I should have known you would have a 'method'! It's hard to keep tract of one treatment versus another. My daughter was on an allergy-detecting diet once, and the diary helped very much. I don't think we could have made sense of her reactions if we hadn't used it. Good luck. I really like your "swimming, yoga, massage, eating healthy, and staying active mentally and physically" program. That's a program that all of us should follow! You're taking responsibility, and that's really smart. Smile
