I was recently out of town for a few days (2 1/2). On the second day I thought hummm I have only had 1 glass of iced tea the whole time. Besides the few beer I had with my father. Can someone tell me what the effects on weight and body would be. Besides dehydration. I am always like this only drink when I am really, really thirsty, guess you would have to say dehydrated. I will go morning to night with nothing to drink. Until maybe 9 at night then realize the reason I am so thirsty is because I didn't have anything to drink since the night before. Thanks.

Since your body is comprised mostly of water, adequate fluid intake is vital for your health and fitness. Here is a website with some guidelines for dehydration.

It is very important that you do drink enough water (fruit juice and herbal teas as well) for the health of your body. As Sherasi says, the body is mostly comprised of water, lots of the body's systems need water to function properly.

If the right amount of fluid is not taken on board, then the body will suffer as a result and it can lead to many other problems.

A good guideline of drinking water, is 4 pints (or 8 glasses) throughout the day. Do try to drink more, it IS important.

Also, remember that alcohol will cause you to dehyrdrate. If you are drinking beer and not drinking water, you are compounding your problem.

I typically drink 8 oz. of water between each alcoholic beverage. Not only does it count down on my alcohol consumption, it helps hydrate me.
