Anyone try it? I signed up and will start tomorrow. A bit expensive but they guarentee the weight loss and if I keep it off for 26 weeks, I get 20% of my money back and if I keep it off 52 weeks, I get another 20% of my money back. Money is always a good incentive!

I'll keep you posted.

I have used this program, it is excellent, easy to do, good support, and terrific nutritional balances. I did it without using the supplement pills but I DID use the protein bars. You CAN find their equivalents in Health food stores that do cost less.

I lost 85 pounds total.. I lost about 10-12 pounds a month easily.

Good luck to you.

Smile

WOW! That is awesome! I don't feel so bad about the cost now. I think it will be good. My goal is 30 pounds. I like how you can get money back for maintaining your weight for a year. They gave me supplements, but after those I probably will just stick to my multivitamin. What flavor bars did you like? Did you try any of the other products?

hey've changed the bars a lot since I did the program, but at the time I loved the mint and the peanutbutter. I also liked how you could have so many choices to get the same boost without using the bar as well.

LOL I bought the flavor I liked by the case so that I paid less since I KNEW I would eat them.

I usually used the bars because of the portability and the density nof the bars allowed me to really sink my teeth into something.. assuaged my hunger sort of thing. Smile

Good luck!

You are fortunate to have the option of having money returned for successful weight management.

I didn't have that option. Frown

I can safely say I spent several thousand dollars doing this. Smile

It was worth it at the time, and my husband didn't begrudge the money at all. As long as the bills were paid, it was alright. {nod}

Yeah - that is incentive enough to take it off and keep it off. I am ready to start eatting something substancial! I started the 2 day "cleansing" and I don't feel full at all!

I agree that the bars sound like the most conveinent - I got a sample box so I can try them all. They had a special on buying 9 weeks worth for $99 - I bought 2. I figured that would get me through my weight loss time and into my stability time.

So how long ago did you go through it? Have you kept it off for the most part?

I basically finished the program, but had some issues with depression and anxiety (with 2 disabled children and a husband in college that is entirely understandable). So I started on a medication that made me gain a huge amount of weight.. more than I lost actually.

I ended up much more than I started in fact. Frown

This is how the whole thing worked.

I started LA weight loss at 251 lbs. I started the program and lost to 170 lbs. I got on medication and within 6 months, I was 285 lbs.

The program DOES work. It really does. But you need to be aware of external forces that work against the effort.

I got a Gastric Bypass since I couldn't afford to start all over and, being older, it was becoming very dangerous for me at that weight. I had the surgery last June (2005) and am now 150 pounds and 5 months (unexpectedly) pregnant. I lost a total of 130 pounds with the surgery.

I recommend the LA Weightloss program, I found it extremely stable and nutritionally viable. As an RN that is a major consideration in my mind.

And now you know the REST of the story! Wink Big Grin Razz

(I hope that I didin't disappoint you with needing to use a more invasive approach toward losing weight then just the LA program. I've often regretted that wasted time and effort and money.)
