Has anyone here done taebo? I have just started(2 days ago), and was wondering if anyone had good results with it.
It says you burn 800 calories in an hour. I only have the eight minute workout and that leaves me exhausted. I couldn't imagine a whole hour of it.
Well wish me luck!

Yes, I do tae-bo regularly. And I feel the results after every workout. You have to really dedicate yourself to it and remember that just because you're exercising doesn't mean you can eat a whole bag of cookies! But it certainly does tone up and build muscle.
However, you are doing it wrong if you're doing the eight-minute workout.
You must start with the introduction video and then move on to the thirty minute basic workout. There is an advanced hour workout and the super eight-minute workout. I do the basic. You should stick to that until you're ready to move on.
If you don't have those videos, you might be able to borrow them from your public library, or even from Blockbuster.

Thanks Elexina,
I do have the instructional video. It came in a two pack with the eight minute video. I will check out the library for the others. I never thought about that.
So where would the 8 minute fit in? After the others? It seems strange that they would sell them together if you weren't meant to do them in that order, but who knows.
Thanks again,

I know, it is strange. (Mine came in a four-pack, with all the videos.) It's just that the eight-minute workout is pretty intense and you might be better off starting with the basic. It's a complete workout, but it can be rough. Just make sure you have water nearby, and pause it whenever you need to take a break. That's the beauty of workout tapes. Smile
I think the eight-minute can fit in where ever you want, but to start off with such an intense workout might be too much for people. Once you're used to the basic workout, you could do the eight minute once in a while (like if you're short on time).

I have the basic now. It is so much easier!! I'll do this for a while before I go back to the 8 minute.
Thanks again,

good luck...
8 minutes of tae bo non stop is outstanding !

i have seen trained fighters not able to punch and kick non stop for 6 minutes....
so 8 minutes is very good...

if you are feeling really exhausted/sore, make sure you 'warm up' before starting the 8 min tape.

keep up the good work.

ic7901,
I always stretch before any type of workout.
I don't think I would have been able to do the 8 min. tape if I hadn't been already been used to aerobics. I normally do 1/2 hour of nonstop high paced aerobics three times a week.
I just wanted something different. I haven't been getting any new results from what I had been doing. Hoping this will do the trick.
