When exercising at home, (aerobics) does anyone know if it's better for your body, if you exercise with the air conditioner on or off. I've tried it both ways and for some reason, I feel sick when the air is on. Do you think that breathing in cold air is doing this? Confused

Take a look at THIS site.

OMG Tree, that's an interesting link. I've never heard this about exercising and asthma, before. I do have symptoms of asthma but the doctor diagnose it as bronchitis (sp) I am also prone to having pneumonia, having had it twice. Now I take a pneumonia shot every 5 years.

I really believe after reading the article that my lungs could be the reason why this is happening to me. Thanks a million. Answerpool rocks. Big Grin

This is interesting. I am asthmatic...and I also get exercise induced asthma...but I have the opposite problem. Mine is worse in warm air. I have to have cold air blowing into my face to prevent complications.

I have exercise induced asthma as well as allergy induced. I notice that my asthma is bad in either extreme. If it is very hot and humid or if it is bitter cold.

Honi, you could have post-bronchial asthma, or exercise-induced asthma. Get thee to a doctor and get thee an inhalor and all will be well with your world again.

Elexina is right. A good puff or two of Albuteral before exercise will help remedy the problem. My Allergist tells me to do that every time. Smile
