I am posting here because I just wanted a bit of a pat on the back.
I have officially lost 100 pounds now (technically 65 pounds since the surgery on June 2nd)!!
I haven't really been losing weight any faster than a person who would diet and exercise normally (about 3 pounds a week), but I am trying very hard to eat healthy and keep up the protein levels and drink enough.
I DO need to do better nutritionally though. Its just too easy with my schedule to kind of say "There's always Tomorrow" like Scarlet says.
I DO want to be more diligent with my exercise. I have a few.... "ripples" I could tone up.

Now that it is the new year, I feel I am doing better. Today I chose a thin crust pizza with chicken, ham, fresh mushroom and black olive instead of extra pepperoni like I usually like. I have also lost some more weight and am dragging half liter bottles of water with me everywhere to sip when I think of it.
Sagus and I just got much of the exercise room tidied up of Chrstmas odds and ends and so I can actually REACH the equipment now!

Hello all, it has been a while since I posted here and there have been quite a few developments.
#1 I am now down 130 pounds.
#2 I am almost 5 months pregnant!
I just posted this update on Discussionpool and Herport.. (thought I'd quote verbatim rather than re-tytping it all):
quote:
My Step-Dad works and his boss bought a dress that she found was too small for herself. Phil mentioned I had lost weight and so she gave it to him for me.
Today, they gave it to me and I tried it on.
IT FIT!! I was a bit tight across the pregnancy-enhanced bosom and belly, but it fit very well.....
a SIZE 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never worn a size 10!!!!!
(I am sure I did on the way through LOL)
I am no longer trying to lose weight.. but GAIN it ... for the pregnany, which is turning out to be a bit of a challenge!
I just wanted to thank you all for your support.

Excess body weight is implicated as a risk factor for many different disorders, including heart disease, diabetes, several cancers (such as breast cancer in postmenopausal women, and cancers of the uterus, colon, and kidney), prostate enlargement (BPH), female infertility, uterine fibroids, and gallstones, as well as several disorders of pregnancy, including gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and gestational hypertension. The location of excess body fat may affect the amount of health risk associated with overweight. Increased abdominal fat, which can be estimated by waist size, may be especially hazardous to long-term health. The amino acid L-Carnitine may be helpful for weight loss because of its role in fat metabolism. Studies have shown that Conjugated Linoleic Acid reduces the percentage of body fat in exercising people although other studies have shown no effects. Cayenne increases blood circulation and promotes secretion. Supplementation with Calcium aids weight loss in overweight people consuming a low-calorie diet in 3 to 6 months. Green Tea Extract may support a weight-loss program by increasing energy expenditure or by inhibiting the digestion of fat in the intestine. A Complete Multivitamin Mix provides basic support to the body with most essential nutrients even when you are on a very low calorie diet. L-Glutamine promotes the synthesis of glutathione, an important antioxidant in the body which protects the body during the weight loss process.
