Thanks, Silja and MrsBlackiston. As I said, it is most visible if I'm hungry, but I also notice that I shake more if I've had a cup of coffee, so maybe it is related to my thyroid. Did your doctor think that was any particular problem or make any recommendations for you to change your diet? It could also be blood sugar - type 1 diabetes is in my family (although I'm sure I'm not diabetic, I suppose I could have some slighter blood sugar problems). Of course, I never get cranky!  What changes would I need to make to keep my blood sugar from getting low?
