Most of us get far more sugar and animal fat than is heathy, so it is prudent to cut back, and eat more friut and vegetbles. Drink a cup or less of water every hour (not other beverages except fruit or vegetable juice) if it is convenient. This will (according to some experts) reduce the chance of future diabeatus and numerious other ailments. Neil smile

I just recently went to a class on diabetes and they are saying now that if a diabetic eats a candy bar or eats a large bowl of macroni and cheese they both break down into sugar and are counted as a carb. So it is your choice. YOu need to eat the recommended carb number that the doctor tell you to. One carb choice is 15gm of carb. So if you look on the label if it say a 1/2 cup serving is 30 carbs then you are eating 2 choices. Depending on you size is to how many carb choices you are allowed in a day. But if you have to have that small candy bar you can read the label and count it as how many ever carbs it says it is and subtract it from you daily count. Because it breaks down they same as a nice piece of fruit or fruit juice.
If you are at risk for getting diabetes the best thing to do is to lose weight now if needed and start exercising and see your doctor.
