Oh - This is SO NOT healthy!
It might not be harmful, but it just doesn't sound like a good idea!
Children should be taught good nutrition, not taught to rely on weight loss gimmicks.

When I was 15 my mother took me to a doctor who prescribed diet pills. I took them for over 7 years. I may be wrong, but I still think they affected my nerves.
I was never taught good nutrition as a child, so it's been so much of a struggle as an adult.

But I can't imagine giving a child weight loss medication, especially without a doctor's strict guidance!

how about just telling your kid NO to mcdonalds, kfc, dairy queen, pop, chips, chocolate bars, cake, cookies etc whenever they want, and make them eat healthy?

too much of a bother? maybe not having kids would have been a better choice.

lazy parents tick me off almost more than anything else on the planet.

Going out and playing used to be the answer for everything that ailed a kid... (nearly)

I was kicked out of the house thousands of times as a kid... kids need to exercise. I remember nothing but running my butt off the whole time when I was a kid.

THis kind of thing makes me sick...
