Hassia, we all seem to have a firmly-rooted conviction that we are invincible, that we will never die. That belief lives in the reptilian and midbrain, where the basic survival instincts reside: eat, sleep, shelter, protect loved ones, etc. I think it is there to keep us from fearing death to the point where we can't function. But the survival instincts are very strong and can sometimes take over the reasoning brain. I crave sweets and carbs and I like fat things because the flavor is in the fat. It takes a lot of willpower to overcome these cravings - do you have it, or can you get it somehow? It is also possible that you have some unresolved issues that are tormenting you and you eat for comfort. I do, too. You might talk to your doctor about it, if you haven't already. Go to your library and get a book on self-hypnosis. That might help. And good luck!
