New evidence suggests that the Atkins diet is a good thing, and (when used correctly) does produce the most fat loss than Low Fat, or Reduced fat diets.
I recant what I have said about the Atkins Diet that it is stupid and harmful.
It isn't stupid, and it isn't that harmful - IF DONE SPARINGLY.
I now change my suggestion for loosing weight to do the Atkins diet for 6 weeks to no more than 4 months - then switch to a low fat/low sugar diet to maintain the weight.
