CLR and Chromium Picolinate(chromax)

CLR is supposed to prevent fat from being deposited in the cells and increases metabolism.

Chromium Picolinate (chromax)is supposed to help metabolize fats and carbs and respond efficiently to insulin.

I just bought them both from GNC today. Does anyone know if they really help in weight loss?

You already have a good link, read up on the subject.

Never, and I mean never take on supplements until you know what they do, what research has been done on it, and know what your doctor says you need.

A daily multivitamin like one a day or similar is a good thing. Protien shakes are great if you are building muscle mass, these have been around for decades and have years of positive (and some negative) reports through personal experience.

I hope you can take that back, I do not think it will do what you want it to do, besides which you can risk the chance of over dose - this can be a toxin to your system in high enough amounts.

Cheers

Ok, late to the party again,

If anyone is still reading this thread...

Chromium Piclolinate is a refinement of the trace mineral "chromium" which is one of the known 94 essential nutrients. There is significant evidence that it does help to moderate blood sugar levels which decreases appetite craving and can help to build muscle mass.

I've used this supplement on and off for about 8 years and generally found it to be effective. The risk of reaching toxic levels of this substance is quite small. Like all supplements, it's benefits are limited and won't make up for otherwise poor habits - but in my oppinion it's a worthwhile addition to a nutrition progam.
