Well, I gave birth to Jaden. I ended the pregnancy at a healthy 15 pound weight gain. Jaden is a lovely 6 pounds 9 ounces in weight (MUCH larger than either of my first pregnancies) and is doing very well.

I am breast feeding and working on drinking and eating enough to keep her fed and me healthy. I have lost about 20 pounds since having her, so I am evaluating how much I am eating. Frankly, I have no appetite, which is common both after having a baby AND with Gastric Bypass, but I am eating even when I am not hungry. ANd trying to eat what counts.

Miamin, I appreciate what you are saying, however I am an RN and really do not have a great many concerns, just "awarenesses" if you will, about my weight status. I am in league with a PCP and lactation expert, so I have no real worries at this time.

At any rate, thanks you all. Smile

Sher,
Looks like you are doing OK. What is your height, weight & age if that is not too personal?
How many children do you have?
Being an RN, I assume you were watching out for the post partal depression syndrome. Sounds like you didn't get it. RN's can work very hard under tense situations sometimes which brings on tension relieved by eating, or not eating.

I am 5'4 1/2" tall and I just weighed in at 161 pounds this morning at 2 weeks post-pregnancy. I am 40 years old. Smile

No, so far I haven't been experiencing anything more than the "Blues".

I have 2 sons ages 12 and 10 years old and my new born daughter for a total of 3 children. Big Grin
