Has anyone tried this? Do you know anyone who has? This ab chair is designed so you can do situps without putting a strain on your back or neck. I did see some customer reviews and most people seem happy with it. I wonder if this works. Confused

Ab Lounge 2

There is a new and improved Ab Lounge XL that costs a lot more. The infomercial makes it look so easy.

So, what do you think about this ab chair? Is it just another gimmick?

I was also waiting to hear about what others thought about it before buying.

I DID find a website that appears to be independent of the manufacturer.. a sort of COnsumer Reports of Sporting equipment. Here is what they had to say about it.

Working in the advertising field I can say that the results you would get from this product will in no way compare with the rippled muscles you see on the models who demonstrate it. A lot of people will see these commercials and think they will get the same results.

I'm not saying that it certainly won't help you in doing crunches more comfortably, just don't set your expectations high. And do your research. These products have had problems and some of them have been recalled. Announce recall to repair Ab Lounge Excercise Products.
Consumer Affairs Recall
National Advertising Review Council

Also, be aware of the price. Advertisements will show that you spend only $14.95 for a month's trial usage. But if you decide to keep it, full payment can be anywhere from $93.99 + 5.95 shipping to $254.74. Just read the fine print before ordering.

I just saw the infomercial again and they have improved it. It really looks like it would work.

Has anyone tried this yet? Know anyone who has?

I bought the Total Gym years ago. It is totally collecting dust in my attic. I need something that I'm really going to use. Any comments?

My friend's neice bought the Ab Lounge XL and she can't use it. She is too short, and she can't stay put on it. When she folds herself up in it and then straightens back out she keeps sliding around, and it's frustrating.

Welcome to Answerpool. Thanks for answering. I might have that problem sliding on it also. I'm not short, I'm vertically challenged. Big Grin

I'm 5'1" and I have the sliding around problem too. Just try to wear something that's not slippery - no nylon or spandex. I wish they would make it out of some kind of non-slip material. That would be a definite improvement.

It's still a great machine for me though. I wrote all about my experience with the ab lounge in the fitness group on gr00ps.com...
