After having my kids, I now have this wonderful little "apron" using no cloth what-so-ever!! What kind of exercises can I do to reduce this attractive "apparel"? I am working on crunches, but is there any other way I can help reduce or get rid of my problem?

I know what you are talking about, I have 3 kids and with my first I gained 65 pounds....can you imagine. I have returned to 120 pounds....finally but still have the little apron you are speaking of.. You need to isolate the lower abs by supporting your feet on a bed, chair, table etc. lie down with your rear end up close to the object you are going to use for support, bend your knees and place the heels of both feet on the object. YOur legs will be at a 90 degree angle. Place you hands behind your head and very slowly raise your head tryihng to concentrate on your lower abs. Dont just fling yourself up without thinking, really concentrate on the lower abs. YOu can not overwork abs, believe me they will be very sore for awhuile but do this excercies as often as you like. break it up into 5 or 6 times a day and do maybe 20 or so at a time, more of course if you feel you can. Always be careful not to strain you neck, don't jerk and do slow controlled movemonts. This along with some aerobic activity should give you the results you want.
doing ab exercises will tone your belly and perhaps help its shape; but to get rid of an apron of fat you have to burn it off by diet and general exercise. To lose fat you have to lose weight; exercising a particular part does not remove the fat overlying it.
