Hi, I was doing laundry last night one load fine. I did a load of t-shirts and I had to put them on 3 times to dry. There is hot air and it is tumbling. The load was the same as I always put in. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks.

Nadca...I'm sure you make sure the lint trap is clean each load, that's a given.

How about the dryer exhaust? Check the hose going outside to make sure it isn't clogged. That could reduce your dryer's efficency as well, not to mention creating a fire hazard.

Well Roll Eyes not every load but everyother. Lint has fallen from the screen back down into the dryer. The hose going out side has come off a couple of times and I have had to put it back. Which is not an easy task seeing that the washer and dryer are in the bathroom closet. I have to crawl over the dryer and squeeze in a space a foot wide. I will go crawl in there now.. It is only 2.5 years old shouldn't be doing this. Is there any way to vacuum out the inside of the dryer??

Whew.. Thanks giz I just got stuck behind my dryer. lol. Kinda freaked me out for a minute. I can just imagine if I had to wake up my hubby to come to my rescue. That makes me chuckle.. I checked the hose going to out side it is not full. I pulled it off the out side wall looked in a gave it a shake upside down. No lint plugged up. Any other idea's I threw in a few dish cloths to see if it is ok. Oh and now I will clean lint screen regardless. Every load! Thanks for the reply.

If the vent hose is actually plugged I don't think shaking it would do the trick.
If your next load doesn't dry properly, try running a long wire in which you have bent a hook in the end to see if you are able to 'grab' anything.
How long is this hose? Would a straightened coat hanger be long enough?

It is only 3-4 feet. Coat hanger would work perfect. I have a load in right as we speak. I just checked and it is drying somewhat but the inside of the dryer is sweaty and lint on the inside of the door. Looks like I will have to try the hanger trick. Thanks for the reply.

Well it is working. The hose in back had lint. It was a fair amount but not enough that you would think it would cause that much trouble. Thanks again giz and di.

I was having the same problem with my dryer. (took 2 times for it to dry)

I used the attachment on the vacuum cleaner to clean the lint trap. I couldn't believe how much lint was trapped in there! Eek

Worked like a charm! Smile
