Hello everyone. My great-grandmother somehow managed to set the parental controls on her television. Since she apparently created a password by randomly pressing buttons, we have no idea what the password is. We also no longer have the instructions. Right now, she can only view shows appropriate for small children. If anybody has an APEX brand televison instruction manual, could you please look up how I can fix this. I tried unplugging the tv, hoping that would erase the memory -- it didn't. Or maybe somebody knows how I can contact the company directly to ask them how to fix it? I searched the internet briefly, but there are many companies named APEX, and none of them seem to be what I need. Please help. She misses watching the news!

Here is one way you might try. Circuit City sells this brand. Record the Model and serial number from the unit and go to your Circuit City store to see if the have a set of instructions on file. If you don't have a Circuit City, find who sells them in your area.

Next, you might try your local library. Larger ones have "SAM'S" or "Howard Sam's" publications on file. These are repair and operations manual that service people use to repair TV and electroics. Again, you will need the Mod. and Ser. Numbers.

& clicking GO.

You will get quite a few television sets that are made by Apex. Recent one too.
