I have an old sliding glass door that is getting harder to slide open or closed. What type of products can be used on the aluminum tracks?

Degrease and clean the tracks first. Then use Petroleum jelly AKA Vaseline.

You can clean the tracks and wheels with WD40 before degreasing. I assume that the grease is dirty already thus needs to be removed before the application of new grease.

That is if this is a lubrication issue.

Most sliding doors have plastic wheels inside (yeah I know silly design) the plastic gets unevenly worn and gets into an egg shape which can make it difficult to open or close - sometimes they break, or crack impeding smooth rolling.

We had this happen on a sliding glass shower door. You can buy new wheels at Home Depot, etc. and change them yourself. You will probably need at least 2 people to get the door in and out of its frame.
