i have a really old, icky looking sink stand with storage underneath. the door is beyond attempting to repair, so i was going to remove it and put a cloth curtain in its place. i have it all sewed and ready to go, i just dont know the best way to attach it. any suggestions would be appreciated.

are you removing the entire cabinet structure or just the doors? It's hard to visualize...I'm guessing it's not a pedestal sink? What you are attaching it to will play a big part in what your options are...

I'm thinking velcro - you won't see it and you can attach it exactly where you want and fit any curves, etc.....and you'll be able to remove it for easy cleaning...

i am planning on redoing the entire thing soon, getting a pedestal sink and shelves, but this will have to do for now Big Grin

I didn't want the undersink area to be closed in (in our newly-built home) because I wanted good ventilation there. So I bought a special curtain rod with clever fasteners that attach almost flush with the molding at the top of the space. (The rod is attached to the TOP EDGE.)

Had to shop around a bit for the right hardware. Then I sewed simple checked cotton curtains, washable in hot water, iron flat. Works great.

Or--you should be able to purchase one of those long thin springs that are usually used to hang curtains on a door window. They attach with a smal fastener that comes with them an a couple of tiny nails. Also they'' strech out to the size of the opening. Very simple to install, I have them on my front door.
Let us know how you end up doing this, ok?

The velcro comes so it is sticky on both sides, so all you would have to do is peel & press...
