An old friend of mine who is an excellent musician has just joined us at Answerpool. His screen name is "Pianoroom313", but he will probably change it to "Pianoroom818", for reasons which I will explain (if anyone cares enough to ask!)
Be that as it may, he has spent thousands over the past four years designing a piano teaching system which I think is ingenious, and could be a real boon to those wishing to learn to play popular songs without the need of having to learn to read music. (He does read music also, and teaches in established and orthodox ways as well as the innovative method at his website).
Anyway, for those wishing to have a peek at how it works, here is the web address. I would be very interested to hear what your opinions are. As a piano teacher myself, is it going to put me out of work???
PS Jusork, I am not sure myself where the best place to post this is, so if you think that re-locating it to another forum might arouse more interest, then do feel free to move it...

I myself really don't care. But just to be consistent, since a guy's post on the business board has been twice deleted for advertising. Isn't this pretty much the same thing?

Yes, JR, I suppose it is a fine line...but how am I going to get some opinions on what I consider a very radical departure from my own orthodox standpoint if I cannot show the site? The thing is, I suppose, that having been here since the inception of AP and asked and answered many questions, You & I are regarded as bona fide members.
Someone new comes along and instantly posts a website up, they get their post deleted. I can clearly see how unfair that this is, but I like to think that I have 'served my time' here, so to speak. Obviously I realise that you, Juan, a stalwart of these boards are not singling me out, and merely making a perfectly reasonable point. We both are here for the same reasons, to share knowledge, to learn from one another and to experience viewpoints which are novel to us, so I take no personal offence in any way whatsoever from someone whom I like and respect very much. But it is a problem, is it not? Merely the fact that we have both been here for four years suggests an implicit honesty of intentions. 'Johnny Come Lately' whose first post advertises a website extolling its wonders gets squished!
It is really not fair, but in one sense or another nepotism is alive and well (and maybe not always such a bad thing...?...)

Ever since AnswerPool started to feature prominently on search engines such as Google, we have had a huge increase in spammers joining merely to post an advert. We do not pay large amounts of money to Groupee every monthe merely to allow free advertising, so those posts are deleted. We will continue to delete these posts by new members - if they want to advertise their products, they can pay us!
JR, you will have seen that I replied in this thread and didn't remove Ritzmar's "advert" because I understood that he was asking for opinions. And also, as Ritz has said, he is a bona fide long time member who has supported AnswerPool from the beginning, not a newcomer who only wants to use the site for free advertising.
I have removed Pianoroom313's first and only post as that was just an advert; even friends of respected members cannot be allowed to set a precedent. I hope that Pianoroom313 will post again here and answer questions; I know members would appreciate his knowledgable help as they do Ritzmar's.
