following on from my earlier post. i am 36 and have just started playing drums. at the moment im using a yamaha dd55 portable drum kit. however i find this extremely difficult to play when doing 8ths and 16ths rhythm beats.any suggestions on what would be a good budget starter kit it would have to be electronic because we have a new baby and i would need to keep the noise levels down

Fuse has already given a suggestion here. While looking around the internet for recommendations, I found a lot of mention of people liking that kind. I also found an electronic drum site. Here's a list of drums under $1,300. Hope this provides a good start.
